Your first visit

Whether you come for an exam or a fitting, here is what happens.

A first visit is a conversation first. We ask what you need, look at what you wear now, and explain the steps before we take them.

What happens

  1. 01

    Step 1: You book

Pick a time online, or call. Tell us if you want an exam, a fitting, or both.

  2. 02

    Step 2: You arrive

Come a few minutes early with your glasses, your prescription and your insurance cards.

  3. 03

Step 3: We talk it through

The doctor or an optician asks about your eyes and your day, then explains each step.

  4. 04

Step 4: You leave with a copy

Your prescription, in writing, whether or not you buy from us.

Billing and what to bring

  • How it's billed

A vision plan pays for a routine exam, medical insurance for an eye problem, and you for the rest. We check before you come.

  • What to bring

    • Your current glasses and contact lenses

    • Your prescription, if it's from another office

    • Your insurance cards

    • Your questions
